Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ecclesiastes 7:8

The end of a thing is better than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Well done! It is the end of 2021, and you are still standing!

For many the scripture for 2021 has been, “Having done all to stand, stand therefore…” (Ephesians 6:13-14). Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “The end of a thing is better than its beginning…” Both endings, and beginnings are very important… how you begin, and how you end are of utmost importance. Many begin things, but few see them through to the end.

Here you are at the end of a very challenging year… as for me, my faith is stronger, and I can testify of many battles, that have all ended in victory… sometimes the last person standing wins! You may have had some setbacks, but in Christ, a setback is only a setup for a comeback.

So, how do I end 2021?

Start by thanking the Lord for all of your victories, for all of His miracles, for all of His grace and for every blessing… then take a look back at some of your ‘2021’ New Year’s resolutions… today is the day to implement what you have not yet done! If you resolved to not eat sugar, then don’t eat sugar today… that way you will have ended the year in line with your resolution. If you resolved to quit smoking in 2021, then quit smoking today… it is not too late! (the Holy Spirit had me put this in specifically for somebody). If you set a goal to read a chapter of scripture a day, then read a chapter today. Some may say, “well, I failed miserably… I intended to do things every day, and not to do other things, every day.” My answer to you is this… ”that was then, and this is now… finish what you started! Finish STRONG, and then you will have the momentum to start strong tomorrow!”

Philippians 3:14 NLT) says, “I PRESS TO REACH THE END OF THE RACE and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” This is the end of the 2021 race… time to PRESS… some people sprint at the start, then either give up mid-way, or crawl across the finish line… focus your faith, and SPRINT across the 2021 finish line, in Jesus name!

Finish your year with your foot on the devil’s neck; in faith, strong in spirit, and ready to move some mountains in 2022!

In His amazing love, Nick
