Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Romans 14:17-18 (NKJV)
The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the Holy Spirit.For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
When Paul the apostle narrows down the priorities that a believer needs to focus on in the kingdom of God, he boils it down to three things… righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
We all need revelation knowledge as well as supernatural ability to understand and to walk in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit by grace through faith… for he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men… in other words, the believer who understands and walks in New Covenant righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit will walk in favor towards God and mankind, and thus, will be blessed in all things!
In yesterday’s teaching, I focused on righteousness, today I will focus on the New Covenant PEACE…
Jesus is the PRINCE of peace, whatever He SANCTIONS, He floods the supernatural anointing of PEACE that flows like a river. Isaiah 55:12 says, “You shall go out with joy, AND BE LED OUT WITH PEACE; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”
The New Covenant anointing of peace that comes from Jesus is not only the absence of tension, stress, fear, anxiety, strife, worry and war… it is the presence of JESUS, the Prince of peace! New Covenant peace is a powerful anointing that transmits a calm assurance, filled with FAITH, courage, boldness and a ‘knowing’ that VICTORY will be the final outcome! New Covenant peace RESTS in the arms of Jesus and falls asleep in the back of the boat with Him in the midst of a violent storm!
The kingdom of God is all about peace! Whenever you sense pressure, stress, or anxiousness, God is not in it… unless you are in the flesh… a believer will feel GREAT pressure, fear, and even stress if that believer attempts to follow the Spirit while walking in the flesh… our carnal flesh nature will have a total melt down in the face of the leading of the Spirit, because God’s calling can only be achieved by grace through faith in the supernatural ability and power of God!
The principle of walking in New Covenant PEACE, can only be followed by believers who are walking in the Spirit by grace through faith! If you are in the Spirit, and you are on the road laid out before you by the Holy Spirit, you will be flooded by supernatural peace, no matter how daunting circumstances are!
