Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Jesus gave His life to make a way for us to live at His right hand, in His presence, experiencing continual fulness of Joy and pleasures forevermore. Now, some say, “well, that is just in heaven…” however, the reality is that this promise is for now, here on earth, even in the midst of challenges!
Jesus is joy personified, pleasure personified, peace personified and the path of life personified, so, when you have Jesus in your heart, joy, peace, pleasure and life are meant to embody you! The question is, if born again believers are in the presence of Jesus, why are some of them so sad, depressed, negative and why does it seem that they are on a pathway of destruction and not a pathway of life?
The answer is that these “sad, defeated believers” get absorbed by the world around them instead of Christ within them… they feed on the word of the world instead of feeding on the Word of the Lord… they have a greater revelation on current affairs than of kingdom realities, and they are so focused on their present pain that they lose sight of their future promise.
Living by faith is embracing all that Jesus is and all that He promised… embracing the fullness of joy, peace, pleasure and life, and walking on the path of life by faith and rejecting every other pathway. You walk in fullness of joy, pleasures forevermore and the pathway of life by faith, so, even when you are not ‘feeling it’, you rejoice by faith, you smile by faith, you laugh by faith, you partake of the pleasure on the pathway of life BY FAITH!
Acts 2:28 (TPT) says, “For You have revealed to me the pathways to life, and seeing Your face fills me with euphoria!’
Today, by faith, fix your eyes on the face of Jesus, embrace His presence and allow His glory and His power to clothe you… walk in fullness of joy, walk on the pathway of life and enjoy all of the pleasures and blessings that Jesus brings your way, in Jesus Name!
