Don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward!
Our God is a rewarder… Jesus did what needed to be done to ‘secure’ our reward, now all we have to do to ‘receive’ our reward is to continue in bold, courageous faith towards the Lord.
How does a believer lose their bold, courageous faith?
Very simple… ‘by focusing on circumstances rather than focusing on Jesus.’ When we keep our eyes on Jesus and on His Word, boldness, courage and great faith is imparted and ignited by the Holy Spirit… when we focus on circumstances, discouragement, helplessness, hopelessness and unbelief are imparted and ignited by the spirits of darkness.
A little boy on a playground with his dad has great courage, boldness and faith as long as he keeps his eyes on his dad… he even calls out the playground bully and commands him to behave… but, if he wanders away from his dad where he can no longer see him, all of a sudden the bully in front of him becomes his focus and fear, intimidation and timidness set in. As he runs back to where he can see his dad, his courage and faith returns.
Like the little boy, we need to stay close to Jesus and to His Word… Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. Look to Jesus… look to His promises in His Word, and as you do, challenging circumstances will become opportunities.
No matter what you are facing today, don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward!
