Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Esther 4:14
“If you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Haman, one of the king’s leaders received a promotion from the king, and all the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate bowed and paid homage to Haman, for so the king had commanded concerning him, but the prophet Mordecai, Esther’s uncle was unwilling to bow to Haman, and as a result the offended Haman got permission from king Ahasuerus to assassinate Mordecai along with all of the Jews.
King Ahasuerus did not know that the Queen Esther, his wife was a Jew or that she was related to Mordecai – after receiving the news of what Haman did, Mordecai appealed to Queen Esther to help - she was faced with a choice… do nothing and try to remain protected in the palace, or risk her life by approaching the king without permission… verse 14 is Mordecai’s response to her dilemma, “If you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther made the choice to risk her life for her uncle and for her nation… she found favor with the king and the end result was the execution of the vengeful Haman instead of Mordecai, and the death sentence over her people removed and replaced with favor and blessing.
Esther used her relationship with the king to her people’s advantage – Just like Esther, we are living in the palace of the King as His bride and we can use our relationship with our King Jesus to the advantage of all people – Just like with Haman, the devil has come to kill, to steal and to destroy, but like in the time of Esther, we are empowered ‘for such a time as this’ to be mightily used of God in these last days!
The Lord is asking you and I the same question that Mordecai asked Esther… “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
HOW CAN I BE EMPOWERED; HOW DO I MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND HOW DO I ACCESS THE POWER AND THE AUTHORITY AND THE WISDOM TO CARRY OUT MY ASSIGNMENT?
2 Peter 1:2-4 - Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through fleshly desires.
As a partaker of the divine nature of Jesus, we are empowered and infused with the very same power that Jesus operated in…
Through multiplied grace, supernatural power has been given to us to become partakers of the sum of the innate properties and powers of the divinity of Jesus. As partakers of the essence and nature of Jesus, we have everything that we need for life and godliness.
When the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, Jesus said, “who touched Me, I perceive that ‘virtue’ has gone out from Me”. Many people were touching Jesus, but only one person made a withdrawal of His essence and the virtue within Him – as with that woman, make a withdrawal of the essence, the virtue and the divine nature of Jesus and partake of it!
THROUGH GRACE, WE BECOME ONE WITH CHRIST, HIS POWER, HIS ANOINTING, HIS ABILITY AND HIS NATURE!
Philippians 4:13 (AMP) - I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
YOU ARE EMPOWERED, EQUIPPED AND FULLY ENABLED TO THRIVE, FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!
YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH DIVINE NATURE, DIVINE WISDOM, DIVINE POWER, DIVINE ABILITY AND DIVINE AUTHORITY AS A PARTAKER IN THE INNATE POWER AND PROPERTY OF JESUS!
“Father, as a believer in Christ, I partake of the divine nature of Jesus, Just like the woman with the issue of blood, I draw virtue out of Jesus, I make a withdrawal of His essence and receive it into my innermost being – as I partake of this divine nature, I am infused with all that Jesus is and I am fully equipped to operate in His ability, His authority, His wisdom and His power, in Jesus Name! I am empowered, this is my time, for such a time as this!”
