Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 14:12 (TPT)
“I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows Me in faith, believing in Me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with My Father!
How do we do the same mighty miracles that Jesus did and even greater miracles? Jesus promised it, but is it really possible for a believer to operate on that level? Is there a way to unlock the power that Jesus imbedded in us as new creatures in Christ and for us to operate and minister on the level that Jesus describes in John 14:12?
If Jesus prophesied it, I believe that we can do it! In the next two devotions, I will reveal three revelations and three actions that will serve to unlock your power in Christ and to supernaturally enable you to operate at your full potential as a new creature in Christ and as a king and a priest in His kingdom by the power of the Holy Spirit.
3 REVELATIONS…
Ephesians 1:17-18 (TPT) – “I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would IMPART to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of REVELATION to know Him through your deepening intimacy with Him. I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the FULL REVELATION of the hope of His calling - that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His holy ones!”
IN THE NEW COVENANT, REVELATION ALWAYS COME BEFORE OPERATION – YOU CAN ONLY FULLY OPERATE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND WALK IN HIS PROMISES TO THE EXTENT THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED DIVINE REVELATION. HERE ARE THE THREE REVELATIONS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL IF YOU ARE GOING TO OPERATE AT FULL POTENTIAL IN CHRIST.
FIRST REVELATION… KNOW WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST
a. Righteous…
Righteousness is a gift. The moment that you received Jesus as Lord and Savior you became 100% righteous. You cannot grow in righteousness… righteousness is not progressive, but you can receive a revelation that you are fully righteous in Jesus as a new creature in Christ. Holiness is progressive – as you renew your mind and learn to yield to the power of the Spirit, you begin to overcome more and more and live a pure and holy life.
The revelation is that in Christ you are fully righteous as you are… fully accepted, fully embraced and fully perfect in the sight of the Father!
b. Fully equipped…
The moment you received Jesus and became a new creature in Christ, you became fully equipped to do the works of Jesus and even greater works. You can and will grow in your ability to operate in the supernatural, but the supernatural DNA of Jesus has been fully embedded in you. When a believer gets baptized in the Holy Spirit and gets full of the Word, that believer grows and becomes more powerful in Supernatural ability, but even a baby Christian has all the power He needs embedded into him to do the great commission.
c. You are a king and a priest in Christ…
Revelation 1:5-6 – “Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you a full revelation that Jesus MADE YOU, and ordained you and appointed you and gave you authority to reign with Him as a king and a priest.
The revelation of who you are in Christ will deliver you as a believer from ‘worthiness’ issues, condemnation issues, and issues concerning your ability. The revelation of who you are in Christ is essential if you are going to do the works of Jesus and even greater works.
SECOND REVELATION… KNOWING THAT YOU OPERATE FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH
Ephesians 2:6 – “The Father raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
As new creatures in Christ, the Father HAS MADE US sit together with Jesus in Heaven as kings and priests in Him… meditate on that!
You are seated in Christ… the Father placed you in a position of rest in the finished work of Jesus. He does not want you fighting, striving and working to achieve success – He wants you resting and receiving success and victory as a love-gift from Jesus.
A king operates by decree while seated on His throne… The bible says that a king shall decree a thing and it shall be established – as kings in Christ, in the kingdom of God, we operate by decree. We SPEAK to mountains, we DECLARE the Word, we fight the fight of faith with our CONFESSION of faith. Life and death is in the power of our tongues!
We need to fully receive the revelation that we reign from heaven to earth… we pray from heaven to earth, we receive in heaven and then we occupy on earth. The devil is under our feet… every problem that we face is under our feet and we transfer success and victory from our place in heaven to earth in faith because of the grace bestowed upon us!
THE THIRD REVELATION THAT WE MUST RECEIVE IS KNOWING THAT WE HAVE AUTHORITY OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE DEVIL…
Luke 10:19 – “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
The Passion Translation says, “Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.”
Jesus said that YOU have authority over ALL the power of the devil!
Let me ask you this… is sickness from the devil? Is poverty? Is pain, and depression, and fear, and strife, and are suicidal thoughts? Every good and perfect gift is from our Father God, and EVERY bad thing is from the devil!
Having authority over all of the power of the devil and authority to trample over his kingdom and overcome every power satan possesses means that you have the authority to BIND all of his works, in Jesus Name! (By the way, I never capitalize the name ‘satan’… I will not give him even that honor!)
