Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 96:1-4 (AMP)

O sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless His Name;

Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.

Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works and wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised

I have a new appreciation for the freedom of being able to sing and worship the Lord together in church. This week our Governor and Mayor here in Hawaii announced that churches could no longer sing during worship due to the spread of the Corona Virus. I was deeply unhappy in my spirit as I heard that, but we immediately prayed…

Someone in the church had messaged me to ask, ‘how should we pray’ – my response was, “pray that the Governor and the Mayor change this order” and within 24 hours, our prayers were heard and answered here in our state… all Glory be to God!

I know many Christians prayed, emailed the Governor, called the mayor’s office and people rose up and took a stand for Christ like never before. Today, I want you to give Jesus a shout of praise with me for our breakthrough here in Hawaii.

I don’t know about you, but I will never take ‘worshipping’ my Jesus for granted. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that to sing in church could be threatened by a virus.

Thank the Lord for leaders and mayors in our state who heard the petitions of the church and who listened and who respected our right to worship. To us believers, to sing in church is not just singing, it is heartfelt deep worship that ushers in the manifest presence of God and brings us into the Glory of God where our lives are touched and changed and miracles happen. Praise the Lord!

Today, just as David declared in Ps 96:1-4, let us sing to the Lord a new song and proclaim His goodness, His goodness, His marvelous works. He is great and greatly to be praised – Amen.

Blessings on you, Esther
