Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Philippians 2:13
It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
God WORKS His works of faith in you and then through you! The Passion Translation says, “God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases Him.” A work of faith is an outward expression of an inward work of God!
As I was waiting before the Lord, preparing to minister last Sunday’s message, I saw myself dancing over someone, imparting the life transforming power of the Holy Ghost, I saw myself shouting the unutterable Holy Ghost gushing of the heart as I preached, I saw myself ministering healing to someone with backpain… God did His work in me, and then He did His work through me! A work of faith was ‘implanted’ by the Holy Ghost, and then performed through me by His power.
When Jesus raised Lazarus, He said to the Father, “I know that we have already spoken and that you have ALREADY heard Me, but because of the people who are standing by I will pray again and say this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life” – The Father had already placed resurrection power inside of Jesus before He raised Lazarus, so when Jesus raised Lazarus, it was a true work of faith. In the same way, the Father will ‘implant’ His works in you, and then do them through you as works of faith at the appointed time!
