Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Hebrews 11:12
From one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
I often talk about the power of a ‘team’ and that ‘it takes a village’, but today the Holy Spirit wants me to focus on the power of one! One man, ‘Abraham’ put his faith in God at 99 years old and changed the world through ‘one child’, who’s children became ‘one nation’, through which one man, ‘Jesus’ came, who paid the price for the whole world to be free! Sometimes, all it takes is one man, one woman, or one child… will you be the one, for such a time as this?
One man, ‘Noah’ spent about 70 years building one ark, which saved the world and the animals of the world – one man, ‘Joseph’ and his God given leadership ability saved what was epicenter of the world (Egypt) and the surrounding nations the world. One man, ‘Paul’ had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus and was called to be the apostle to the gentiles, and two thousand years later, millions of believers are still being impacted by this one man, ‘Paul’.
There are times when it seems like everybody is floating down the river like dead fish… it seems like nobody is taking a stand, nobody is providing leadership and nobody is saying anything! Somebody needs to stand up be counted for, somebody needs to provide leadership and somebody needs to swim upstream, or else everybody is going to go over the waterfall!
Just like Esther recognized that it was her time and she recognized the call of God on her life and rose up and saved her nation, it is time for YOU… yes, ‘you’ fellow believer, IT IS TIME FOR YOU to recognize the power of God in YOU, and to stand up and make a difference like those who have gone before you did!
Your prayers of faith could change the world, your revelation on the Word could change the world, the anointing on your life, together with YOUR faith could be just what we all need, for such a time as this!
Stop waiting on everybody else… sometimes it takes a village, but sometimes, all it takes is the power of one!
Blessings on you, Nick
