Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Acts 2:17-19 (TPT)
“This is what I will do in the last days—I will pour out My Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God. The Holy Spirit will come upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. I will reveal startling signs and wonders in the sky above and mighty miracles on the earth below.”
The prophetic word that Peter gave on the day of Pentecost was from the prophet Joel… He said that in the last days the former and the latter rain would be poured out, that the Holy Spirit would be poured out on ALL flesh and that this would be a season of mighty signs, wonders and miracles!
The prophecy continues to say that everybody will be used in a mighty way… young and old, male and female – everybody will be led by supernatural visions and dreams and they all will speak the Word under the unction of the Holy Ghost with signs and wonders following. Past revivals have emphasized great leaders like Reinhard Bonnke, Smith Wigglesworth, Billy Graham, Kathryn Kuhlman, Aimee Semple McPherson and many other great men and woman of God, but this coming last day revival will be known for God using ordinary people… young and old, male and female, to do extraordinary exploits by the power of God and in the Name of Jesus!
This last day awakening will be birthed through an uprising of the people of God… they will be used supernaturally through the miracle working power of God – They will heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead and do many mighty exploits in Jesus Name! Electricians, plumbers, accountants, truck drivers, hairdressers, students, children, youth… regular people consumed by the Spirit of God and on fire for God, operating in great authority, great power and great anointing. The spiritual leaders will not be the driving force behind this revival, it will be the Holy Spirit moving through ordinary people, doing extraordinary things in Jesus Name!
Spiritual five fold leaders will train, equip, mentor, teach and impart, but the burden of leadership will not be upon them. They will impart what they have to hungry, thirsty people, and those people will run with the power of God and do the work of the ministry supernaturally. There will be no need for motivation, persuasion or pressure – everything from finances to whatever is needed will flow like a river and will not need to be solicited from the people. This last day awakening will be one hundred times more powerful than anything that we have ever seen.
We are at a spiritual ‘pause’ right now… C-19 may be going on, but this pause is not about what the devil is doing, it is about what God is doing… as we are waiting, praying, separated unto God, the Lord is working… He is raising up a generation of Davids – they may be hidden in the field right now, they may not be qualified in the natural, but they have a heart after God and the Lord is about to raise them up!
As we come out of this lockdown season, we come to the start of the last day awakening… get ready, get ready, get ready!
Let’s go to 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8
1-2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
*Notes… Paul the apostle is teaching the church in Thessalonica about the last days… the days that we are living in right now. In verse 1-2 he gives the context of the verses that follow… ‘the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him’. The prophecy is for the church, not the nation of Israel… it talks about ‘OUR gathering together to Him’ – it is talking about Jesus coming to get His church, His Body of believers. The following verses give important details regarding what will happen before Jesus comes for His body of believers.
3-4 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the catching away [the taking away] comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
*Notes… Most translations translate the Greek word ‘apostasia’ as falling away, apostasy, or rebellion… “That day will not come until ‘the great falling away’ comes first. The correct contextual translation of the Greek word ‘apostasia’ is ‘the departure’, not the falling away.
It is important to note that the first seven English translations of ‘apostasia’ all rendered the noun as either “departure” or “departing.” The Greek lexicons, Liddell and Scott, define apostasia as “departure or disappearance.
Again, the context is when Jesus comes to gather His church… our gathering together to Him.
‘For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Paul prophesies that the departure of the church will happen before the antichrist is revealed and before the great tribulation.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?
*Notes… Here, Paul is referring to his teaching in 1 Thes. 4:13-18
6-8 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
*Notes… The mystery of lawlessness, the lawless one, or the antichrist will already be at work before he is revealed… he wants to be revealed and he wants to begin his rule, but he cannot because his agenda is being restrained and held back by ‘the restrainer’. Some say that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit – I do not believe that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit because people are still going to get saved during the great tribulation and no one can get saved unless the Father draws him through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not be removed during the Great Tribulation.
The Holy Spirit is going to do a mighty work during the great tribulation, so He cannot be the restrainer who must be taken out of the way for the antichrist to have his way. He who restrains is the church… the kings and priests in Christ that reign in grace as the church and the body of Christ. The church has been given all authority over the devil, in Jesus Name and the devil cannot have his way as long as the kings and priests in Christ are restraining him through their authority in Christ.
Some say, the ‘He that restrains’ cannot be the church, because the church is the bride of Christ, and therefore, not a ‘He’. The church is also ‘the body of Christ’ which is referred to as ‘He’ – when Jesus gathers us together to Himself in the clouds, He will gather us as His body, the Church of who He is the Head.
The antichrist cannot be revealed until we are taken out of the way as the victorious, triumphant church!
I believe that we have a short season of great revival and a great worldwide move of the Spirit ahead of us… maybe only a few years, and then… the catching away! Then after that, the great tribulation begins! Get ready to make the most of it, get ready to run with the fire of God!
Isaiah 14:24-27 (TPT)
24 The Lord Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, makes this solemn decree: “Be sure of this: Just as I have planned, so it will be. Every purpose of my heart will surely come to pass.
25 I will crush the Assyrians (a step, or those who command how we walk) who invade my land. I will trample them on my mountains. Their yoke of slavery will be removed from my people and their heavy burden from their shoulders.
26 This is the plan that I have determined for the entire world. I will accomplish it by the demonstration of my mighty power throughout the earth!”
27 For the Lord Yahweh, the Commander of Angel Armies, has an amazing strategy, and who can thwart him? When He moves in power, who can stop Him?
WE ARE STEPPING INTO THE FULLNESS OF THE SUPERNATURAL LAST DAY CHURCH
“Be sure of this: Just as the Lord has planned, so it will be. Every Word, every promise and every prophecy will surely come to pass. The Lord will crush this worldly system, those who have attempted to dominate, rule and enslave His church and His people. Their yoke of slavery will be removed from the people of God and the heavy burden from their shoulders.
This is the plan that the Lord has predetermined for His people and for the entire world…
His plan is to raise up His people and bring His people into liberty in Christ by the demonstration of His mighty power throughout the earth! Yahweh, the Commander of Angel Armies, has an amazing strategy, and who can thwart him? When He moves in power, who can stop Him?
Get ready to live and move and have your being according to His amazing strategy! Get ready to be led by the Spirit in all things, get ready for the Lord to demonstrate His power through you like never before… He is the Lord of hosts, the God of angel armies… He is getting ready to commission His angels to go before us, behind us and around us… we are His church triumphant! This is our day!
Pray like never before, seek the Lord like never before, receive impartations and revelations like never before. Draw close to God… Samuel is coming to anoint the Davids of this generation… get ready to slay giants, get ready to slay the armies of the wicked one as more than conquerors in Christ, get ready to take the land for Jesus… get ready, get ready, get ready!
