Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 92:12-14 (AMP)

The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful]; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable]. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age; they will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment].

Ephesians 6 says, ‘Having done all to stand, stand!’ – stay planted! – Planted in the house of the Lord, planted in the Word, planted in your calling, planted in your values, planted in the principles of God… stay planted… keep standing… do not uproot yourself!

When things get tested, when things get shaken up and when life seems unstable and vulnerable… that is when the devil tries to persuade people to uproot. Many believers make the mistake to change careers, move to another state, abandon old relationships and form new ones, change churches and rethink their previous values and principles in life – that is exactly the opposite of what the Lord wants us to do in times of testing. Make changes when things are stable as the Lord leads, not in the midst of a battle… When the battle is raging, fight and win – when stability returns, then evaluate.

Staying planted and remaining faithful in times of testing is the New Covenant way. Instead of uprooting and running, draw closer to those that you are called to, double down on the Word inside of you, do whatever you can to remain stable… stick to what you know… put your roots in even deeper, up your commitment levels and increase your investment!

You are the righteousness of God in Christ, do not be moved by circumstances!

Psalm 1:1-3 (TPT) says, ‘What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat.

His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. Psalm 1:1-3 (TPT)

Having done all to stand, remain standing, stay planted, double down on your relationships, go the extra mile, put your roots down even deeper and stay the course – breakthrough is coming!

Blessings on you, Nick
