Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
More than 2000 years later…. we are still walking in the fulfillment of this prophecy of Jesus, our wonderful Counsellor, our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father, Jesus our Prince of Peace. The wise men saw this scripture from Isaiah fulfilled…. but here we are in 2020, still declaring that there is no end to His peace, His rule and His government in our lives. His Kingdom is forever, through eternity – Praise the Lord God almighty.
Thank you, Father God for your gift to us, Jesus your Son. Thank you, Father that His Name is Wonderful, His Name is Counsellor, His Name is Mighty God, His Name is Everlasting Father and His Name is Prince of Peace. Jesus the Name above all other names!
