Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Hebrews 10:38-39 (TPT)
And he also says, “My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back, my soul is not content with them!”
Once you step out on the Word in faith, do not hold back, quit, or compromise. Now, if the Holy Spirit redirects you for some reason, then, get scripture on it to make sure that it is the Holy Spirit directing you, and then, follow His leading - but unless it is the Holy Spirit redirecting, then do not quit, compromise or draw back!
Your walk of faith will be tested, it will be challenged, and it will face pressure from the powers of darkness in an attempt to get you to give up, give in, or compromise. You may face financial challenges as well as many other challenges as you walk by faith, but do not allow circumstances to influence you - the only influence in your life should be the Word and the Holy Spirit, nothing else... no matter how it looks.
Sometimes the thing that you are doing by faith as directed by the Holy Spirit and the Word can seem outwardly as though it has been totally and irreparably damaged... this is not a reason to give up - remember, Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead... the same Jesus can easily raise your work of faith from the dead! He will do whatever is necessary as long as you do not quit!
Way too many believers have prematurely given up because of circumstances! They give up because they think, ‘if the Lord was in this, it would be prospering’, or, ‘I have made too many mistakes, It is time to just walk away, the writing is on the wall!’
Look at the life of Jesus... it was not all a bed of roses - He was challenged in every area of His life and in every project that He undertook, yet He never gave up or pulled back - even when the tide of public opinion turned against Him and when He was crucified... He never quit! Thank God He never quit!
No matter what you do for the Lord in faith, you are going to face challenges... these challenges will probably be so big that you will have absolutely no ability (in the natural) to overcome them. But, just like David and Goliath, just like Israel and Jericho, just like Daniel in the lion’s den, and just like Jesus on the cross, rise up in faith and hold your ground! A miracle is in the making!
Blessings on you, Nick
