Today’s devotion comes from James 1:25

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

There are five New Covenant laws – all five are part of one law, ‘the perfect law of liberty’. All five laws bring freedom, blessing, grace and all five laws impart power, supernatural ability, grace and anointing. The word ‘law’ means that these five things are written into the New Covenant as laws that ‘command’ blessing in your life - starting with the perfect law of liberty, let’s look at these five amazing laws!

THE LAW OF LIBERTY

James 1:25

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

THE LAW OF LIBERTY TELLS US TO FOLLOW FREEDOM AND TO AVOID CONTROL AND BONDAGE…

As we look into the perfect law of liberty according to the New Covenant Word of God, and as we continue in it, we will be blessed in all that we do! As we follow the law of liberty, it is identified by the freedom and liberty that it brings – as you get revelation upon revelation in the New Covenant law of liberty, all bondage goes and freedom and excitement arises. This is a LAW that commands that you are blessed, free, and walking in total liberty! That you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers!

Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Galatians 5:1 (TPT)

Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.

2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Anything that produces bondage is legalism, the law of liberty is established in the finished work of Christ and is inhabited by the Spirit of the Lord!

THE LAW OF FAITH

Romans 3:27-28

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

THE LAW OF FAITH IS RELYING ON GOD INSTEAD OF RELYING ON OUR WORKS

Operating according to the law of faith is taking the time to get God’s plan, and then doing what He has led you to do in faith… and then trust Him… Jehoshaphat operated according to the law of faith – he went to the Lord for a plan to defeat the three armies coming against him – after he received the plan (put the praise team in front – sing “the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever”). He then set the plan in motion in faith and put his trust in the Lord!

That is how the law of faith operates – you get God’s Word and His plan of action by seeking Him – then you implement it by faith – then you fully rely and trust him.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

Romans 8:2

For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IS FOLLOWING THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BY FAITH…

When we read Romans 8:1-14 it lays out the law of the Spirit of life in detail – it is a law, set into motion by the Father that when we as New Covenant believers follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, that we will find life, health, supernatural ability, victory, abundance and blessing!

Now, when it comes to being led by the Spirit, there is a right way, there’s a wrong way, and then there is God’s way! He leads through the Word, His gentle promptings, His peace and His joy. It is not hard to be led by the Spirit, it is supernaturally natural!

THE LAW OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Romans 9:31-32

But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone.

THE LAW OF RIGHTEOUSNESS SAYS THAT YOU ARE MADE RIGHTEOUS BY FAITH

You are righteous by faith, not by works – you cannot earn righteousness, you receive it by grace through faith in Jesus. Your right standing with God requires total reliance upon Him. If you think that your success, achieved by your works will gain you favor in the eyes of God, then you do not understand the law of righteousness. Trusting in the finished work of Jesus, and then being led by the Spirit in all that you do while knowing that you are the righteousness of God in Christ pleases the Father!

THE LAW OF CHRIST

Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

THE LAW OF CHRIST IS TO BEAR ONE ANOTHER’S BURDENS

In other words, to help one another in practical ways, to care for one another, to lift up one another, to love one another and to pray and intercede for one another – When you have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me…

These five laws will bring liberty and freedom beyond your wildest dreams. They will set you free from all bondage and they will bring greater blessings into your life than you could ever imagine – Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to establish these laws for you! Be blessed as you live according to these laws, in Jesus Name!

Make this confession of faith - say this out loud with me…

“John 17:17 says that I am sanctified and set apart by Your truth - Your Word is truth - Your Word absolute truth – the Word is for me to walk in, to accept as final truth and for me to stand on, to declare by faith and for me to do – I am who the Word says that I am - I can do what the Word says I can do - I can be who the Word says I can be - Christ in me can do all things – I can do all things through Christ - I have absolute POWER over ALL the Work of the enemy – nothing shall by any means harm me – I have power to raise the dead – I have power to heal the sick – I have power to do the works of Jesus – I have total authority over all of the works of His hands in Jesus Name! – the power and the authority of the creator of all things is on the inside of me – when I speak by faith, I ALWAYS have what I say – As I speak the Word, the Father ALWAYS watches over it to perform it – The Father loves it when I expect Him to ALWAYS perform His EVERY Word! – I always expect the Father to bring to pass every word that I speak according to His Word – God is not a man that He should lie – His Word is literal, His Word is truth and His Word is final!”
