Today’s devotion comes from Psalms1: 1–3 (TPT)

1. What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat.
2.
His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light.
3.
He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.

Blessed is he who walks not after the counsel of the ungodly… the ‘way of the world’ is a sense driven, logic based, culture correct way… how do I feel, does it make sense, and what will other people think?

The way of the Lord is Spirit led and Word driven… is the Holy Spirit leading me, and, is it scriptural… in other words, ‘what is God saying?

The more that we spend time meditating in the Word, the more revelation light will flood in, and the more we will walk according to the mind of Christ… not sense driven, not necessarily logical, and definitely not culturally correct.

What about seeking godly advice?

Spirit led believers are going to encourage you to be Spirit led and Word driven… they will focus more on equipping you to be Spirit led and Word driven, instead of telling you what to do and what not to do. Don’t ever be influenced by the ‘opinions’ of others… Christian or not… listen when they speak the Word, and check to see if what they ‘prophesy’ is information or confirmation… (New Covenant prophecy is always confirmation, not information)… the Holy Spirit will always speak to you first, and then confirm His Word through prophecy.

The more Spirit led and Word driven that you are, the more you will stand firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. - Selah!
