Today’s devotion comes from 2 Corinthians 12:9 (TPT)
“My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me.
No matter what you are facing, His grace is more than enough!
The power of the Holy Spirit finds it’s full expression through a believer’s weakness! Many times our strength can actually hinder or diminish the power of the Holy Spirit working through us, that is because most people tend to rely on their own ability and strength in areas that they are strong in – the more that you rely on you, the less that you rely on grace.
If a believer that cannot swim falls into deep water, that believer knows that either the Lord is going to supernaturally rescue him, or he is going to drown… a strong swimmer will probably rely less on the Lord until He or she is completely exhausted – total reliance may only come only after total exhaustion. It is far better to completely rely on GRACE, and the power and ability of the Holy Spirit from the beginning… He wants us to live by His grace, not by our strength, so do not wait until you are exhausted, frustrated and on the brink of disaster before you begin to rely on His grace! No matter how strong you are, rely on grace!
Grace parted the water instead of Moses having to build a bridge, grace defeated three armies instead of Jehoshaphat having to fight and grace multiplied the little boys lunch, instead of the disciples having to purchase lunch for thousands… grace, grace, grace – GRACE is the New Covenant way to live! Receive grace right now and let God do this by His power, His ability and His might working through you!
Make this confession of faith - say this out loud with me…
“John 17:17 says that I am sanctified and set apart by Your truth - Your Word is truth - Your Word absolute truth – the Word is for me to walk in, to accept as final truth and for me to stand on, to declare by faith and for me to do – I am who the Word says that I am - I can do what the Word says I can do - I can be who the Word says I can be - Christ in me can do all things – I can do all things through Christ - I have absolute POWER over ALL the Work of the enemy – nothing shall by any means harm me – I have power to raise the dead – I have power to heal the sick – I have power to do the works of Jesus – I have total authority over all of the works of His hands in Jesus Name! – the power and the authority of the creator of all things is on the inside of me – when I speak by faith, I ALWAYS have what I say – As I speak the Word, the Father ALWAYS watches over it to perform it – The Father loves it when I expect Him to ALWAYS perform His EVERY Word! – I always expect the Father to bring to pass every word that I speak according to His Word – God is not a man that He should lie – His Word is literal, His Word is truth and His Word is final!”
