Today’s devotion is from Acts 5:15-16 (NLT)
As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed.
The apostles ‘leaked’ the anointing wherever they went…
When Peter’s shadow fell on people they were healed – They would take sweat soaked handkerchiefs and aprons from Paul’s body and lay them on sick people and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. It was the same with Jesus – the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of His garment and got instantly healed.
New Covenant believers are all meant to ‘leak’ the anointing…
Jesus said that rivers of living waters would flow out of our innermost being after drinking the Holy Spirit from Him. As a born again, Spirit filled, New Covenant believer, the miracle working power in the anointing is in you’re your shadow, in your sweat, in your spit, in your clothes, in your touch, in your breath, in your words and in every part of you. Leak the anointing wherever you go by faith, in Jesus Name!
Use your faith to emit and release anointing wherever you go…
Let the anointing leak, flow and ooze out of your innermost being by faith. When you get up in the morning, as you partake in communion and morning devotions, say, “The anointing will flow out of my innermost being today – rivers of power and anointing will continually flow out of me – the miracle working anointing shall flow out of my shadow, out of my breath, out of my touch and out of my words today, in Jesus Name! Healings, signs and wonders will follow out of me as I leak the anointing wherever I go!”
