Today’s devotion is from Psalm 34:8 (AMP)
O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him.
I can tell you that God is good, but you will not be fully convinced until you taste and see and experience Him for yourself. The Lord wants you to taste and see and experience His goodness. Job said, until now I have only heard of You Lord, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
Jesus said, “He who loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and manifest myself to him. As we receive the love of God we begin to lovingly worship him and the more that we enter into the receiving and the giving of love, the more the Lord manifests Himself to us.
As He manifests Himself, we begin to experience for ourselves that He is good, that He is love, that He is for us and not against us and that He will do anything for us to walk in His blessing.
God does not condemn, disqualify, or discourage, He loves, lifts and brings hope and abundant life. Jesus said that the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy, but I HAVE COME that you may enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows. (John 10:10)
Friends, God is good, and His plans for us are plans for good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
