Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Psalm 16:11
You will show me [Give me revelation knowledge of] the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The Passion Translation says, “For you bring me a continual revelation of resurrection life, the path to the bliss that brings me face-to-face with You.”
There are many paths that we can take as we go through life… as we face challenges and as we navigate through circumstances. There are certainly paths that lead to death and destruction, then there are paths that get you there, but wear you out and beat you up along the way, and then there is a path of LIFE… a path that is filled with the presence of Jesus where there is LIFE, JOY, PLEASURE, PROVISION, BLESSING and BLISS in Christ.
The ‘path of life’ in Christ can only be discerned and walked on through REVELATION knowledge… mental assent and human reasoning will always mislead, but when Jesus imparts REVELATION knowledge to you through the Holy Spirit, that supernatural revelation will place your feet firmly on the path of life, abundance and blessing!
Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His Word], the people perish…” the word ‘VISION’ is not the best translation of the Hebrew word ‘châzôwn’… a better translation is REVELATION… ‘something supernaturally revealed by God’, not something that you personally desire to accomplish. Vision could be based on ambition, but revelation is supernaturally received and imparted, not dreamed up.
When we as believers do not walk in supernatural revelation knowledge, we perish, we get restless and we walk as blind people bumping into things in the dark. The Lord wants us to have revelation knowledge and to walk according to that knowledge on His pre-destined path of life for us by grace through faith.
HOW DO I RECEIVE REVELATION KNOWLEDGE FROM THE LORD?
#1 BY THE ILLUMINATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (TPT) - “For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us.
And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words.
Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.”
#2 BY RECEIVING DIVINELY IMPARTED DISCERNMENT FROM THE FATHER.
Ephesians 1:16-18 - “I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you (may breathe on you) the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, (as we receive divinely imparted discernment from the Father) the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”
Supernatural revelation can only be grasped through a gift of divinely imparted discernment of truth from the Father… “someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him.”
#3 BY MEDITATING ON THE WORD
Psalm 19:8 (TPT) - “His teachings make us joyful and radiate His light; His precepts are so pure! His commands, how they challenge us to keep close to His heart! The revelation-light of His Word makes my spirit shine radiant.”
Proverbs 25:2 (TPT) says, “God conceals the revelation of His Word in the hiding place of his glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.”
As we meditate upon the Word in the hiding place of His glory and manifested presence, as we turn the Word over and over again in our thoughts, as we speak and mutter it repeatedly, as we do this by faith, searching it out, believing to receive REVELATION… as we immerse ourselves in doing this, the living WORD will impart illumination and revelation… for example, I will take a scripture, “By His stripes we have been healed” and say it over and over again, personalize it, place emphasis on different parts… then pray over it in tongues, then sing it, and then mill it over and over again in my thinking… sometimes for hours on end… then, all of a sudden light, life, anointing and revelation floods my whole being and I SEE and UNDERSTAND and GRASP and experience TRANSFORMATION by the revelation light of His Word.
#4 BY WORSHIPPING THE LORD
Psalm 25:14 - “The secret of the Lord is with those who worship Him, and He will show them His covenant.”
The Passion Translation says, “There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near Him and receive the revelation-secrets of His promises.”
Revelation is imparted in the place of deep worship, when you sit near Him in a place of intimate adoration, revelation will be imparted… Revelation 1:10 (AMPC) says, “I was in the Spirit [rapt in His power] on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like the calling of a war trumpet.”
John was RAPT (lifted up and carried away) by the power of God while worshipping… while in that place of being caught away in the realm of the Spirit as he was worshipping, the Father revealed what later became ‘The Book of Revelation’ to him. there is a place in spirit worship where a person gets rapt and totally caught away by His power… that is the realm of revelation… it is available to EVERY believer… do not settle for anything less… selah!
