Today’s devotion is from Luke 22:19-20 (AMP)

And when He had taken bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant [ratified] in My blood.

Communion is an anointed time of sweet fellowship between you and the Holy Spirit. Daily communion is such a wonderful way, to start your day out in fellowship with the Lord, speaking the New Covenant blessings over your life.

It’s simple but profound, powerful and such a reminder from the Lord Jesus Himself, to do this in remembrance of Him. Why wait to only do communion at church, when you can have an intimate prayer time with the Lord Jesus Christ and stand on His promises, partaking of communion as He encouraged us to do?

Here is an example of a prayer you can pray, the next time you partake, or if you are doing communion today, pray this prayer…

“Lord Jesus, thank You that I am in covenant with You. Thank You for the New Covenant that was established for me by the shedding of Your precious Blood. Thank You for Your Body that was broken for me. Father, today, as I partake of Your bread, I thank You for Your body that was broken, so that I could be healed and whole. Thank You for healing in my emotions, thank You for healing in my physical body. I thank You Lord, that I do not have to have a broken heart, but I have a whole heart today, because of the price You paid for me on Calvary. Thank you, Lord Jesus for Your blood that was shed on the Cross. Thank You for the victory You paid for me… for cleansing me from all unrighteousness and for providing for me a life of Victory in you and power in and through Your name. By your Grace, I receive wholeness, I receive forgiveness, I receive healing, I receive all my covenant promises. I walk in the power and strength of Your Grace upon my life and I stand today giving You praise and thanks for the awesomeness of knowing You and having You in my life. Thank You for the New Covenant that I can enter in and receive all that You paid for, all that You did for me is now mine and I fully receive it today, by Faith in Jesus Name.”
