Today’s devotion is from 2 Peter 1:3, 4 (NLT)
By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
All things pertaining to life and godliness have been freely given to us who are in Christ and through the knowledge of Him…
As we spend time with Him, get to know Him through His Word and by spending time with Him in prayer and worship, the bible says that: “all things pertaining to life and godliness” have been given to us as a free gift from the Lord… imparted into your spirit man.
God has uniquely made us and made your spirit man, able to receive all things you need in this life, to be able to make the right decisions and life godly. The ability to know Him, hear His voice, understand His leading, His nature and His character has been deposited into the spirit man of every believer.
Have you ever noticed how amazing it is when you read your Word and then all of a sudden, the Word opens to you and you begin to see things you never saw before and understand things you never understood before, but now you have understanding by divine impartation from His Spirit into yours. This is how “all things” you need for your life are given to you … by His Spirit.
When you read, study, declare and meditate upon the Word of God, you are positioning yourself to receive “all” that He has for you. What an amazing God we serve, He so wonderfully made us, created our spirit man and supernaturally gives us understanding into the things of the Spirit and how they relate to everyday life. He has truly fearfully and wonderfully made us all.
