Today’s devotion is from Philippians 4:11-13
‘Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’
The Passion Translation says, ‘I’m not telling you this because I’m in need, for I have learned to be satisfied in any circumstance. I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.’
We have to learn to be content, satisfied, full of joy, full of faith and full of peace regardless of circumstances. Paul talks about ‘the secret’ of being content and overcoming all things… the secret is doing all things through Christ… finding that the strength of Christ’s explosive power and being infused with the power to conquer every difficulty.
When we live and move and have our being in Christ, when we follow the anointing and walk in the Spirit according to the Word, a Holy Ghost infusion of POWER occurs. That power supernaturally enables us to soar when others crawl. - Selah
