Today’s devotion is from Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Here is another way of translating Romans 12:3… ‘Do not you put your trust in yourself and your own ability instead of living by faith’. Self-trust or self-dependence is kryptonite to the New Covenant believer. When we try to do things in our own strength, we are thinking to highly of ourselves. God has given each one of us a heavenly measure of faith, and we should use that faith to access His power, ability and wisdom in everything. The just live by faith!
