Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Romans 5:17, 20-21

For if by the one man’s sin death reigned through the one, much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, GRACE abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

GRACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS IN CHRIST GIVES US THE POWER TO REIGN

Those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Grace and righteousness are two gifts that carry the anointing to reign. They carry the power to destroy sin and to place the righteous in authority so that they can reign in life through Christ Jesus.

GRACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS GIVES POWER OVER SIN

The bible says in Romans 5:20 that the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, GRACE abounded much more – why does grace abound when sin abounds? The bible says in Romans 6:14 that sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

GRACE ABOUNDS TOWARDS SIN BECAUSE ONLY THE POWER OF GRACE CAN OVERCOME SIN…

Grace is not a license to sin as some wrongfully claim, grace is the power of God that destroys sin. Grace imparts an anointing of holiness, it equips and enables people to overcome the dominion of sin and compromise, it draws people near to God, and it imparts the loving, forgiving heart of God.

IT IS NOT GOD’S WILL FOR SINNERS TO FALL FROM GRACE – IT IS HIS WILL FOR SINNERS TO FALL INTO GRACE…

When sinners fall into grace, sin’s dominion is destroyed and holiness is imparted!

NOT JUST YOUR SIN, BUT THE SIN CULTURE OF DEATH AROUND US…

Many times these scriptures are directed at believers who have fallen into sin, but grace abounding when sin abounds is also directed at the sin culture of the world around us. Many, many millions of people are sadly trapped under sin and death’s reign – abounding grace equips and empowers us to overthrow sin and death’s reign. Where sin abounds in this world, grace does much more abound to destroy sin’s dominion in this world and to establish a culture of life in Christ under grace.

GRACE, THE MESSAGE OF GRACE AND THE ANOINTING OF GRACE NEEDS TO ABOUND THROUGH US TOWARDS THE CULTURE OF SIN.

THE POWER AND DOMINION AND THE REIGN OF SIN IS DESTROYED WHEN GRACE IS PREACHED, PRACTICED AND IMPARTED TOWARDS THE SIN…

SIN AND DEATH ARE REINING OVER THOSE THAT ARE NOT IN CHRIST – ONLY THE POWER OF GRACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS WORKING THROUGH US CAN OVERTHROW THE REIGN OF SIN AND DEATH.

RIGHTEOUSNESS DEFINED

RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A STATE OF BEING IN RIGHT STANDING WITH THE FATHER BECAUSE OF JESUS…

GRACE DEFINED

The New Covenant word translated as ‘grace’ in the original Greek is ‘cháris’ - cháris is the root of the Greek word, ‘chárisma’ as well as the word ‘charismatic.’

At it’s core, it means to be endowed with a supernatural gift of power.

Cháris is mostly translated ‘grace’ (unmerited favor) – cháris does include unmerited favor, but the Greek word cháris denotes much more than ‘unmerited favor’

‘cháris’ describes a gift of a Holy Ghost impartation

CHÁRIS’ IS AN ENDOWMENT OF SUPERNATURAL, HOLY GHOST ABILITY AND POWER AS A RESULT OF OUR RESTORED UNMERITED FAVOR TOWARDS THE FATHER THROUGH CHRIST.

This supernatural endowment of power operates as ‘dü’nämes’… (And you shall receive the explosive miracle working power of God [dü’nämes] when the Holy Ghost has come upon you.

THE GOSPEL IN A NUTSHELL…

Ephesians 2:4-9

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, (for by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
