Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 15:4-11 (TPT)
So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches.
As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless… But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done… “I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts.
If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness!
Friends, our lives cannot be fruitful unless we are abiding in Him.
I love how in this translation of scripture… Jesus is telling us how easy it is for our lives to have be overflowing with fruit from within - living in Him, takes us from bearing no fruit, to bearing much fruit and fruitfulness, because He will always do over-abundantly beyond all we dare ask or think with His super on our natural.
Verse 9 says we must continually let His love nourish our hearts - when Jesus walked on this earth, He was continually nourished and empowered by the Father’s love. Jesus tells us how that He loves us with the same love the Father loved Him - He instructs us to continually allow His love to nourish and feed our hearts.
As you face challenges this week, remind yourself, how much Jesus loves you and what He did for you 2000 years ago – remind yourself how much He continually loves you and is pouring out His love over you. Just bask in His love today - take a “Jesus loves me break” and remind yourself even right now, how much He loves you.
Jesus wants you full of joy, overflowing gladness, just like what He as a man experienced here on earth - Jesus lived on earth as a man, nourished by His Father’s love… and He has called you and me to live in His love – fully nourished and fully empowered by His love.
When things get hard, always remind yourself how much He loves you. Get your eyes off your difficult situations and allow your thoughts to meditate on His love for you – today, allow the Holy Spirit to bring you to a place of overflowing gladness, fully nourished, fully empowered and complete in Him.
When you think and focus on His love for you, something powerful happens in the Spirit realm… you tap into a love-source that is beyond your ability, above all your reasoning and understanding - you open your heart and your spirit-man to receive a download of ‘Heaven’s love’ from Heaven - the Love of the Father… the sweet love of Jesus your Savior. Just like that, you tap into the Jesus as your source and when you look again – fruitfulness if flowing like a stream as the Word describes – peace, joy, patience, strength, love… by His empowering grace!
Be blessed, Esther
