Today’s devotion is from Romans 5:17

For if by the one man’s sin, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace [unmerited favor] and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

New Covenant grace which is unmerited favor restored between our Heavenly Father and us, resulting in favor in life with people, projects and with every assignment given to us from the Lord.

That is one of the reasons that the Holy Spirit tells us in Hebrews 4:16, to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find [get a revelation of] grace (unmerited favor) to help in time of need. Pressing into the Word and the realms of God until we get a revelation of New Covenant grace and unmerited favor will equip us to rule and reign with Christ on earth.

GRACE AND UNMERITED FAVOR RESTORED BETWEEN GOD AND BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS EMPOWERS US TO REIGN!

Not just grace and unmerited favor, but the anointing upon it empowers us to reign!

HOW DO WE REIGN?

Job 22:28 says, ‘You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.’ Job 22:28 (AMPC)

As kings and priests in Christ, we reign by decree, not by our own ability, but by the decree of a king, in the Name of the King of kings! The anointing on the favor and grace of the righteous establishes the decree!

WHAT IS A DECREE?

Leviticus 27:12 says that ‘The priest shall set a value for it, whether it is good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.’ In the time of Moses, when people brought their sacrifices to the temple, the priest would set a value for it. In the New Covenant, we are kings and priests –

Revelation 1:5-6 says that Jesus Who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, has made us kings and priests to His God and Father… so, as New Covenant priests in Christ, we get to ‘set a value’ on everything that comes before us.

In other words, we say whether something is good or bad and we say what the impact of that thing is going to have on our lives… if we say, “this is but a small thing”, then it is a small thing. But, if we say, “I cannot do this anymore, then, you will not be able to do this anymore…”

A DECREE ESTABLISHES WHAT WE SAY AS LAW AND THE KING OF KINGS BACKS IT UP!

I remember the story of my wife, Esther’s grandfather… he and her grandmother had a still born child – when her grandfather saw that his beautiful little daughter was dead, he rose up in the anointing of the grace upon his life and made a decree… “God will not give me a dead child!” He then laid his hands upon her and raised her from the dead – he named his daughter ‘Faith…’

Family, as believers, we do not have to accept just anything that comes our way, because of the favor of the Lord, we get to decide, we get to set the value, we get to speak to mountains, and we get to say how it is going to be! That is how we rule, we rule by decree!

Matthew 18:18 (AMP) says, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven.’

Our declaration is the deciding factor – our declarations are the keys of the kingdom – we rule and reign in Jesus’ kingdom by decree!

NOW, YOU CAN DECREE ALL THAT YOU WANT, BUT IF IT IS NOT A DECREE WITH THE ANOINTING OF GRACE AND UNMERITED FAVOR, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!

Remember, we reign by grace and by the anointing on it… ‘those who receive abundance of grace [unmerited favor] and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.’ Romans 5:17

YOUR REVELATION OF GRACE DETERMINES YOUR POWER TO RULE WITH CHRIST!
