When the Lord gave man dominion over the whole earth, He intended for mankind to reign in life on earth as children of God, reigning in His Kingdom – when Adam and Eve departed from the path of life to follow the devil’s words instead of God’s Word, death reigned through them from generation to generation.
Jesus, the second Adam paid the price for all sin on Calvary, now every born again believer gets to reign in LIFE through Christ as was intended for Adam and Eve. By the abundance of His grace and the free gift of righteousness, we have been restored to the path of life, and now we can use our dominion authority for the Kingdom of God as His loving hand extended to a lost and dying world.
In Revelation chapter five, the twenty four elders sang a powerful song…
In verse ten they sing about us as the body of Christ – “You have made them kings and priests to our God; and they shall reign on the earth.” – A king is a leader of people and is in charge of the physical well being, the rule of law and the safety of those in the kingdom. A priest is the spiritual servant of the people and is in charge of the spiritual well being of the people. In Christ, we are kings and priests and we are to reign in life under the King of kings, Jesus.
Literal translation of Revelation 5:10 - ‘You have made them kings and priests to our God and they reign on earth – they exercise the highest influence, power and authority to control on earth’
1 Peter 2:9 (AMP) - But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, (kings and priests) a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
As a ‘royal priesthood’ we share the office of king and of priest – all authority was given to Jesus and now, in Christ, we reign in life with Him in all authority as kings and as priests. You are part of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Jesus…
‘The Greek word translated as ‘excellencies’ is ‘arête’ – literally meaning ‘the fulfillment of the most important purpose or function’. We are to proclaim and to decree the mission of Jesus into fulfillment!
Literal translation - ‘You have been made kings and priests that you may proclaim (decree and declare) the fulfillment of the most important purpose of Jesus.’
YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE AUTHORITY, POWER AND INFLUENCE TO PROCLAIM, DECREE AND DECLARE INTO FULFILLMENT THE MOST IMPORTANT PURPOSES OF JESUS…
REIGNING IN THIS LIFE IS NOT ABOUT STATUS – PEOPLE ARE DYING BY THE MILLIONS ! YOUR PRAYERS, YOUR DECREES AND YOUR PROCLAMATIONS AND YOUR ACTIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE…
There are 500,000 murders per year worldwide – 800,000 suicides per year - 240 million are addicted - 43 million Americans are on antidepressant medication – 36 million have HIV aids - 9.6 million die from cancer every year… This world needs for the church to rise up to stop the dying and the suffering. The church has remained passive for too long. We need to rise up and take our place.
WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PURPOSES OF JESUS THAT HE WANTS US TO BRING ABOUT THROUGH PROCLAMATION IN HIS NAME AS KINGS AND PRIESTS?
In scripture, Jesus says what His priorities as King of kings are – in three places He says, “I have come…”
John 10:10 - “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Jesus came to earth to give His children a fully satisfied, blessed, anointed life of success, abundance, health, joy and peace. We are to continually decree and proclaim abundant life by the anointing as a royal priesthood, in Jesus Name!
John 12:46 “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”
1 John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” All darkness and every work of the devil is destroyed in Christ, including sickness, fear, deception, poverty, suffering, shame, condemnation, sin and the power of sin. We are to decree and to proclaim “life and light” wherever we go. We are to proclaim an end to all darkness and total destruction of all works of the devil in our families, our communities and in our nations.
John 18:37 “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.”
We are to use our dominion authority in Christ as a royal priesthood to destroy every lie and to proclaim TRUTH… Proclaim the Word, proclaim the good news, decree freedom and expose every lie, in Jesus Name!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE MAKE A DECREE ACCORDING TO THE WORD?
The Holy Spirit moves…
As we proclaim and make decrees, the Holy Spirit moves… revival is birthed in the hearts of leaders and people - people are divinely assigned by the Holy Spirit – called into ministry - called to lead – people are called to pray and people are led to bring the good news to every creature.
Angels are summoned…
The ministry of angels is loosed as we decree and proclaim as a royal priesthood – The Holy Spirit sent angels 18 recorded times in the new testament to speak to, direct or to minister to people.
Spiritual opposition is destroyed…
As we decree and proclaim ‘the excellencies’, the ‘arête’ of Jesus, the fulfillment of the most important purpose or function’, we proclaim and decree the mission of Jesus into fulfillment! Addiction, strife, murder, suicide and the works of darkness are made of no effect, in Jesus Name!
The promises of the Word are made manifest…
Every time we proclaim, decree and declare the New Covenant law of liberty under Christ into law, His promises manifest! His prophesies come about, His kingdom expands, miracles happen and darkness flees.
Take your place as a royal priesthood under Christ today, the world is in desperate need of the continuation of the ministry of Jesus! For if by the one man’s sin, death reigned through the one, much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
