Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Friend, the Lord’s love, mercy and grace towards you is steadfast! His mercies never come to an end – He is your faithful God! No matter how many mistakes that you may have made yesterday, His mercy, His love and His grace is fresh and new toward you every morning!
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Friend, endless, unmerited mercy is provided for you in the New Covenant… do not be condemned or ashamed, come BOLDLY to the throne of grace and receive as much mercy as you need!
Grace is getting what you do not deserve, mercy is not getting what you do deserve - so, when you receive mercy based on your New Covenant in Christ, you get instant crop failure for every bad seed that you have planted. Thank God for crop failure! It is not justice, it is mercy!
