Today’s devotion is from Philippians 4:11-13 (TPT)
I have learned to be satisfied in any circumstance. I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.
Paul’s secret to satisfaction is in the anointing!
“I find that the strength of Christ’s [The Anointed One and His anointing] explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.” The Anointed One and His anointing infuses strength, explosive power and satisfaction! – The anointing satisfies like nothing else!
WITHOUT THE ANOINTING ON YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR ASSIGNMENTS AND YOUR RELATIONSHIPS… ALL THERE IS, IS STRESS, EMPTINESS AND RESTLESSNESS.
God wants you satisfied – He wants you content…
The Anointed One and His anointing brings peace, joy, power, authority, ability, provision, breakthrough and satisfaction.
David wrote Psalm 63 wile he was in the wilderness, hiding in caves, fleeing from King Saul and his men. He did nothing to deserve the persecution that he was enduring, he was faithful to Saul in spite of being treated unfairly and in spite of the fact that Saul wanted him dead. David went from being anointed by Samuel, to serving Saul, killing Goliath for Saul and Israel and casting devils out of Saul and ministering healing to him, to being an outcast, fleeing for his life.
When David faced persecution, hardship despair and mental anguish, he would take time to worship the Lord and draw strength from the anointing on the worship… the anointing satisfied his soul and infused contentment, peace, joy and strength into David in spite of his circumstances.
Lets look at Psalm 63:1-5…
O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. (to see your anointing) Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
The Hebrew word translated as ‘marrow’ is ‘sheh'men’ a verb – The word ‘shäman'’ is the noun of the same word – literally meaning ‘fat, oil, or anointing oil’. Isaiah 10:27 says that the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing ‘sheh'men’. We have the noun, the person of the Anointing, and the verb, the performance of the anointing, or the power of the anointing.
David is saying that his soul shall be satisfied by the power of the anointing operating in his life through the person of the anointing… the Holy Spirit!
Lets look at The Passion Translation…
I overflow with praise when I come before You, for the anointing of Your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.
THE ANOINTED ONE AND HIS ANOINTING SATISFIES YOUR SOUL!
When you add the anointing to your dry places, it turns your ashes into beauty! The anointing is the manifestation and the operation of the person of the Holy Spirit. It is when the Holy Spirit manifests His presence, His power, and His authority. When you seek His manifest presence, He imparts His touch, His power, His gifts, His ability and His authority. His anointing brings peace, joy, power, authority, ability, provision, breakthrough and satisfaction.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NIV)
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
THE ANOINTING GUARANTEES WHAT IS TO COME!
VICTORY – BLESSINGS – A SATISFIED LIFE AND REWARD!
Make this confession of faith - say this out loud with me…
“John 17:17 says that I am sanctified and set apart by Your truth - Your Word is truth - Your Word absolute truth – the Word is for me to walk in, to accept as final truth and for me to stand on, to declare by faith and for me to do – I am who the Word says that I am - I can do what the Word says I can do - I can be who the Word says I can be - Christ in me can do all things – I can do all things through Christ - I have absolute POWER over ALL the Work of the enemy – nothing shall by any means harm me – I have power to raise the dead – I have power to heal the sick – I have power to do the works of Jesus – I have total authority over all of the works of His hands in Jesus Name! – the power and the authority of the creator of all things is on the inside of me – when I speak by faith, I ALWAYS have what I say – As I speak the Word, the Father ALWAYS watches over it to perform it – The Father loves it when I expect Him to ALWAYS perform His EVERY Word! – I always expect the Father to bring to pass every word that I speak according to His Word – God is not a man that He should lie – His Word is literal, His Word is truth and His Word is final!”
