Today’s New devotion is from Romans 12:6-8 (TPT)

‘God’s marvelous grace imparts to each one of us varying gifts and ministries that are uniquely ours. So if God has given you the grace-gift of prophecy, you must activate your gift by using the proportion of faith you have to prophesy. If your grace-gift is serving, then thrive in serving others well. If you have the grace-gift of teaching, then be actively teaching and training others. If you have the grace-gift of encouragement, then use it often to encourage others. If you have the grace-gift of giving to meet the needs of others, then may you prosper in your generosity without any fanfare. If you have the gift of leadership, be passionate about your leadership. And if you have the gift of showing compassion, then flourish in your cheerful display of compassion.’

The gifts of the Spirit are grace gifts…

The word ‘Gifts’ is the Greek Word ‘khä'rēsmä’ and the word ‘Grace’ is the Greek word ‘khä'rēs’.

khä'rēsmä literally means Grace-Gift. It is a grace gift, or an unmerited favor gift from the Holy Spirit, given as a tool to minister by faith in the Kingdom of God. These grace gifts are supernatural gifts that are filled with supernatural ability and supernatural power.

When we include the grace gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 13 there are fifteen gifts listed…

The gift of the word of wisdom, the gift of the word of revelation knowledge, the gift of faith, the gift of healing, the gift of the power to work miracles, the gift of prophecy, the gift of discerning of spirits, the gift of speaking in tongues, the gift of interpretation of tongues, the gift of serving, the gift of teaching, the gift of encouragement, the Gift of giving, the gift of leadership and the gift of compassion. Every one of these grace gifts are powerful. Nobody has all of the gifts… that is why we need each other.

Every grace gift operates by love by the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit and is given for ministry [serving] and for edification… let me end here and let me continue in tomorrow’s teaching… Blessings on you!
