God is love, His essence is love, His motivation is love and everything that God says and does is propelled by and driven by love and the power of that love…
If we do things out of ambition, out of willpower, out of a desire to do good or great things, out of sympathy for others or because of our own need or the needs surrounding us, then we may as well not do them as far as the Holy Spirit is concerned. He wants us do EVERYTHING by, because of, motivated by, and driven by LOVE. Anything less is hay, wood and stubble!
The Holy Spirit wants to teach, train and equip us to operate in Love and according to LOVE in everything that we do and say. Agape love can be defined as the essence of God… ‘God is love’. If Agape Love were a tree, it would bear a fruit with a supernatural mixture of divine joy, peace, steadfastness, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control. (Gal. 5:22-23)
As a born again believer, you have been birthed in love and your spiritual DNA is made of love…
Now, we have to learn how to operate according to that love that we are made of. The more time that we spend in the Lord’s presence, the more time that we spend in His Word and the more time that we spend in His glory and His anointing, the more that LOVE will awaken in our innermost beings.
Take some time to think about your motives…
why do I go to work, why do I go to church, why do I spend time with people… is your motive Agape Love? The Holy Spirit has taught me to do EVERYTHING that I do because of and out of LOVE. I do not work for money; God is my provider, I do not do what I do because it is the right thing to do; He is my righteousness, I do not do what I do to please God; I have been made acceptable in the Beloved. I do not do what I do out of obedience; He is my obedience… I do what I do because of LOVE!
How do we operate according to love?
The same way that we operate according to faith… by grace! By grace the Holy Spirit will lead you into a walk of Love by His power! Make this your confession… “My Father’s essence is LOVE, I am His child and my essence is LOVE, I operate according to LOVE, my motive is agape LOVE, I do everything that I do by the power of LOVE, I walk in faith, by love, I minister by love, I prophesy by love, I help others by love, I go to work compelled by love, I enter into relationships driven by love and I do everything that I do by love and according to the power that works within me… ‘LOVE’, in Jesus Name!
