Today’s devotion is from Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
In the New Covenant, every believer has been given an abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness. Do not just let that amazing abundance of grace sit there un-accessed… access the grace given to you by faith! Access is the right and the opportunity to receive something. It takes and act of faith to access the grace given to us in Christ. In other words, grace has to be accessed, appropriated and then dispensed by faith before we can fully operate in it.
The Holy Spirit tells us to boldly go the throne of grace and to RECEIVE or to access and lay hold of grace and mercy in our time of need. The Lord wants us to access grace as a deliberate action. Just like you get something to drink out of your refrigerator when you are thirsty, you get up from what you are doing, deliberately walk or run to your refrigerator, access your drink and then enjoy it. Just like that, the Lord wants our relationship with Him to be deliberate, thought-through, heartfelt and by faith.
Faith is your access (your accessor) it gives you access to grace, to the supernatural and to everything that Jesus has set aside for you. Do not just go through your day passively… be proactive and engage… pray deliberate prayers, make a deliberate effort to be led by the Spirit and access the things that are rightfully yours on purpose!
As you go through your day, access the grace you need by the confession of your faith… “Lord, I access your grace by faith now, I receive the grace that I need for this assignment, in Jesus Name!” “I receive grace to deal with this person, in Jesus Name!” “I receive grace to conquer this mountain, in Jesus Name!” Access grace by faith and then dispense it, release it and put it to work, in Jesus Name!
