Walking-in-Wholeness.jpg

Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (MSG)

May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If He said it, He’ll do it!’

Sometimes ‘HEALING’ is all that some believers are seeking when Jesus wants to go way beyond healing and make them ‘WHOLE’.

The Passion Translation says, ‘May your entire being—spirit, soul, and body—be kept completely flawless...’ If a person is sick with a disease like cancer, that cancer is a symptom in their body, it is a fruit, it is not the root; again, sickness, disease and all physical, mental and emotional diseases and challenges are FRUIT, and a lot of what many people are dealing with is actually brokenness... when you are sick in body, something is broken in your body, or in your mind, emotionally or spiritually... brokenness effects your immune system, your anointing and your ability to walk in boldness of faith... the enemy uses brokenness to steal to kill and to destroy!

When you are depressed, or having emotional challenges, prozac may medicate the symptom, or the fruit… but brokenness in your soul is the root., Jesus wants to deal with the root and make you whole!

Jesus will not bypass the root and only deal with the fruit… He does not put a bandage on things, He goes right to the root; He wants you WHOLE, and flawless, spirit, soul and body, not just healed!

Now, please don’t go and try to dig around to find out what may be broken, just use your faith and receive wholeness from Jesus! Focussing on the problem or on trying to find the problem is not the answer and will not produce wholeness… focus your faith on Jesus and receive wholeness by grace through faith! Jesus has already made you whole on the cross of Calvary, now, receive it by faith!

In John 5:6-9 Jesus said to a lame man, “Wilt thou be made whole?” The impotent man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” Jesus saith unto him, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” And immediately the man was MADE WHOLE, and took up his bed, and walked...” (John 5:6-9 - KJV)

Jesus did more than ‘HEAL’ the man physically… He released His anointing and healed the man’s inner brokenness… He made him whole from the inside out… Jesus dealt with the root, not just the fruit.

The word Jesus used when asking the lame man if he wanted to be made whole is the Greek word ‘hygiḗs’ literally meaning – whole, complete or sound, not ‘healed’. The Greek word for heal, or healed is ‘therapeúō’ where the word ‘therapy’ comes from… therapy reduces, minimizes, or eliminates the symptom. Jesus goes beyond therapy… Jesus made the lame man WHOLE, and then his body was healed… Jesus dealt with the root, and then the fruit was different after the root had been dealt with.

Many believers have been hurt, abused and broken by soul-destroying things that have happened to them. This ‘brokenness’ can have an effect on our emotions, our minds and our bodies and can even affect us spiritually. The root cause of many sicknesses, diseases and physical conditions is brokenness. As Jesus makes us ‘whole’, the sickness or physical condition goes away.

If you have been believing for healing and have not yet received your healing, start using your faith and believe you receive WHOLENESS.

Receive wholeness from Jesus… receive wholeness for your heart, receive wholeness for your brokenness of spirit, let Him minister wholeness to your broken emotions and whatever else is broken on the inside of you.

Lay your hands on your heart and receive wholeness, in Jesus Name! As His power fixes you and makes you whole on the inside, healing will manifest on the outside. Stop focusing your faith on the fruit only and begin to focus it on the root. The Holy Spirit will pour in the oil and the wine, the kind that restores your soul and He will make you whole, in Jesus Name!

Be thou made whole, in Jesus Name!

In His amazing love, Nick
