Today’s devotion is from Galatians 3:13 (TPT)
Yet, Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed it completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is doubly cursed.”
*Warning… some of these curses are very gruesome in nature. As you read this, begin to thank the Lord that He redeemed you from all of these curses on the cross of Calvary!
Here are just some the curses that you have been redeemed of…
You are REDEEMED from being… cursed with confusion, and frustration, with plagues with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew. Cursed with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, scurvy, and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. Cursed with madness, blindness, and panic. Cursed with madness because of all the tragedy you see around you, and you are redeemed from being cursed with incurable boils from head to foot.
You are redeemed from having to… grope around in broad daylight like a blind person groping in the darkness, and not finding your way. From being oppressed and robbed continually, with no one to save you. Redeemed from the skies above being as unyielding as bronze, and the earth beneath as hard as iron. From the Lord changing the rain that falls on your land into powder, and dust pouring down from the sky until you are destroyed.
You are also redeemed from a life that is constantly hanging in the balance. You are redeemed from living in fear night and day, unsure if you will survive. You are redeemed from the curse of waking up in the morning and saying, “If only it were night!” And in the evening saying, “If only it were morning!” from being terrified by the awful horrors you see around you.
(Taken from Deuteronomy 28:20-67)
Jesus suffered all of these things for you when He became sin on the cross for you! He paid an indescribable price for you because He loves you! Now, because of Jesus, you are irreversibly blessed and nothing can by any means harm you! Praise the Lord forever more!
