Today’s devotion is from 2 Peter 1:3

“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”

Jesus told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they were clothed with power from on High.

He went on to say that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them; and that they would be witnesses to Him in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

To be a witness is to be a person who provides evidence.

A witness provides proof and evidence on behalf of somebody else. The evidence that we as believers must provide on behalf of Jesus, is a godly lifestyle, miracles, signs and wonders.

People will follow Jesus as they see Jesus in us! We will only be able to demonstrate who Jesus is through our lives by His divine power that He has given to us.

The Power of the Holy Ghost provided through Jesus gives you all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.

The Lord wants us to continually receive power… He wants us to drink from His River of Life and Power every moment of every day. He wants us to walk in strength and power by His grace 24/7.

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.

Jesus has given you His divine power [The power of the Holy Spirit] for everything that you will ever need for everyday life and Jesus has given you His divine power for everything that you will ever need for ministry.

Just like an appliance begins to work when it is plugged into power, when you plug into His power, you will begin to function as you were designed to function, His power gives the unction to function!
