Today’s devotion is from Romans 8:28,31

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The apostle Paul wrote this to the church in Rome in the midst of great persecution.

Believers were cruelly persecuted; they were boiled in oil, crucified, stoned to death, scourged, beheaded and burned alive.

In the midst of this terrible persecution Paul admonishes his brothers and sisters in Christ, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

He goes on to say, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right-standing with himself. Who is he who condemns? No one - For Christ Jesus died for us, and furthermore is also risen, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:32-39)

Paul reminds the believers who are being persecuted in Rome…

That Jesus is at the right hand of God making intercession for them.

That nothing shall ever separate them from the love of God.

That in all of these things they are more than conquerors in Christ.

No matter what you are facing today; Jesus is standing in the gap and speaking to the Father. Know that Jesus is declaring life and blessing over you! Know that Jesus is working all things together for your good…

Jesus is commissioning all of Heavens armies. Jesus is at work on your behalf, He is working to make all things work together for your good. Jesus is rebuking the devil for your sake, He is enforcing what he established on the cross of Calvary…

Provision, healing, favor, wisdom, breakthrough, victory and blessing.

Jesus is the conqueror and we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus!

Paul asks the question, “What are you going to SAY TO these challenges, these hardships and these persecutions that you are facing?

'What then shall we SAY TO these things?'

Jesus commands us to SPEAK TO the mountain, not about it. Do not fall into the trap of talking and complaining about your problems, speak to them, not about them!

Speak to whatever you are facing, and say. “If God is for me, who can be against me?”... and then command it!

Speak to your finances and say, “If God is for me, who can be against me?”... and then command your finances to increase!

Speak to your fears and say, “If God is for me, who can be against me?”...and then command them to be cast into the sea!

Speak to sickness and say, “If God is for me, who can be against me?”...and then command the sickness to GO and to be cast into the sea!
