Today's devotion is from Philippians 2:13 (NLT)
"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him."
This is one of the many favorite scriptures that I have often had discussions on with my husband over the years.
God gives us the desires we desire and then, He gives us the ability (His empowering Grace) to do what He has called, equipped and led us to do. No wonder the scripture says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light because He empowers us for the things He leads us to do.
What a loving and caring Heavenly Father, think about it… the wonderful dreams you dream and things you desire to do have been placed in your heart and mind by Him.
Now all you need to do is trust Him, rely on Him, adhere to Him and then by Faith step out and watch His faithfulness. Watch Him provide and guide you into the places and things He has for you.
Jeremiah: 29:11: “For I know the Plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
He has amazing plans for your life and mine.
Every decision we make (every day to day decision), we follow His leading. Don’t doubt His leading, don’t doubt the desires and hopes and dreams that He has placed in your heart but begin to thank Him for His ability to walk them out.
Don’t be afraid to move forward with the desires that are in your heart, but continue to roll your works on Him. Pray about every step you take and then walk out in Faith.
When we are yielded to Him, His thoughts become our thoughts, and His desires become our desires. All we need to do is respond to His leading, by walking in the Spirit.
It’s easy, just follow the Holy Spirit and watch your life unfold and watch your dreams come true, for God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
PRAYER
(Proverbs 16:3 AMP)
Father, I roll my works upon You and trust You fully, You cause my thoughts (my desires) to be agreeable with Your will for me and Your plans for my life will be established by You. I will continue to trust You and Your leading in my Life and Your strengthening grace that will continue to empower me
