Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Galatians 5:1 (TPT)
Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
Friends, in the midst of all the chaos in the world around us, the Lord wanted me to remind you today that Jesus came to set you free. The Anointed One, our Lord Jesus Christ paid for our freedom. As The Passion Translation says, ‘not partially but completely and wonderfully free’.
What does it mean to be free? To me freedom is being able to wake up every day and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit all day long. Doing what He says to do. What He leads me to do brings joy, excitement, fulfillment and peace. When you are free, you are not controlled by things outward or inward but you are able to be spontaneous.
Many times, people are not free in their hearts and minds because of hurt, unforgiveness, guilt or condemnation. The scripture reminds us that Jesus has set us free. When you are free in Christ, you are truly free to follow His leading. He will lead you in green pastures. He will equip and enable you to be able to walk and live free as you follow Him and His Word. Jesus paid the price for your freedom.
In Christ, you are able to forgive, heal from hurts, walk free from guilt and condemnation. The Passion Translation tells us to cherish this truth. Value your freedom in Christ. As long as we walk in His Word, follow His voice and His leading, there is no going back to bondage. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Today, live and walk in your freedom in Christ.
Blessings on you, Esther
