The word for you today is from Matthew 14:28-29

‘And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water

to go to Jesus.’

Stepping out in faith

Many wait for the Lord to initiate, or for the Lord to prompt them before they ever do anything, but did you know that the Lord is pleased when we initiate, and prompt Him. Peter had a desire to walk on the water like Jesus, so he asked Jesus to command him to do what he wanted to do.

Peter did not ask, “Lord, is it Your will for me to walk on the water?”

Peter said, “I want to walk on the water with You Lord, so if that is you walking on the water… ‘COMMAND ME’ to come to You.”

Smith Wigglesworth said, “If the Spirit does not move me, I move the Spirit.” That is exactly what Peter did, he moved the Spirit by telling Jesus to command him! Friend, if you have a desire to do something, or to have something, as long as your desire is not against what the Word teaches,

then you don’t have to wait, sit around, and hope that the Lord might lead you or provide for you instead, just ask Jesus to command you to do it! Your faith will move the Spirit

and you will receive that !

Peter had his eyes on Jesus, all he wanted to do was be in His presence, be close to Him, walk with Him, and trust Him with everything that He had. When you step out and ask the Lord to command you to do exactly what Peter did, I believe you will see the impossible. Keep your eyes on Jesus, strive to be near Him, in His presence and to walk closer with Him than ever before, and put your faith our there for the impossible to be made possible in your life and circumstances.
