I MUST STAY AT YOUR HOUSE TODAY…
Luke 19:5 – TPT
When Jesus got to that place, He looked up into the tree and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry on down, for I must stay at your house today!”-
1 On His way to Jerusalem Jesus had to pass through Jericho.2 There lived a very wealthy man named Zacchaeus, who supervised all the tax collectors. 3 He was very eager to see Jesus and kept trying to get a look at Him through the massive crowd. Since Zacchaeus was a short man and couldn’t see over the heads of the people, 4 he ran on ahead of everyone and climbed up a blossoming fig tree to get a glimpse of Jesus as He passed by. 5 When Jesus got to that place, He looked up into the tree and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry on down, for I must stay at your house today!” 6 So he scurried down the tree and found himself face-to-face with Jesus. 7 As Jesus left to go with Zacchaeus, many in the crowd complained, “Look at this! Of all the people to have dinner with, He’s going to eat in the house of a crook.” 8 Zacchaeus was amazed over His gracious visit to his home and joyously welcomed Jesus. Zacchaeus stood in front of the Lord and said, “half of all that I own I will give to the poor. And Lord, if I have cheated anyone, I promise to pay them back four times as much as I stole.”
Zacchaeus was a very wealthy man, all the tax collectors Supervisor, better known today as an IRS Commissioner. He got rich taking money from people and was very despised. Yet, he was so eager to see Jesus that he didn’t let the massive crowd blocking him, stop the opportunity to see Jesus with His own eyes.
No matter how terrible your situation is, don’t let it block you from knowing the Love of God and seeing how much Jesus cares for you. God doesn’t look at your outward appearance, He’s looking at your heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 …”for man looks at the outward appearance, but, the Lord looks at the heart.”
Like Zacchaeus, don’t let present situations, people, or even your past, stop you from having a face-to-face encounter with Jesus! People may say things about you or think of you in a bad way but remember Jesus came to set you free from all the junk, turmoil, ridicule, hurt, pain, lies & suffering.
Like Zacchaeus, you too can start anew and walk away from the devil’s lies once & for all. Nothing is impossible with God to those who believe. (Because Emmanuel Lives I Expect Victory Everytime!)
You are God’s child, He knows you by name! When He saw Zacchaeus for the first time, He called him by his name. You’re not just a somebody, you ARE a child of God.
Jesus said, “Zacchaeus, hurry on down for I MUST STAY at YOUR HOUSE TODAY.” Today is your day of salvation, your day to get excited to welcome Jesus into your house, your heart, your NEW life starting today! He wants to stay with you! God loves you! Zacchaeus didn’t care what people thought of him, seeing a grown, wealthy man climbing up on a tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus.
You too can have a face-to-face encounter with Him. Nothing to be ashamed of. A new beginning for the rest of your life!!!! You can have it. The bible says declare a thing and it shall be established. Hallelujah!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart! Rejoice in the Lord always! Receive the Joy of the Lord, live strong with Jesus today and everyday!!! It’s your Victory Day! To God be all the Glory!
Extending God’s Amazing Love to you~
