Today’s New Covenant Nugget is from Psalm 62:1-2 (TPT)

I stand silently to listen for the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me. For God alone has become my Savior. He alone is my safe place; His wraparound presence always protects me. For He is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me?

God has given us the ability to wait on Him with extreme confidence, and unwavering faith. It’s in our nature to turn to Him when we need strength, support, nurturing, and help. He’s the one our souls long for when we feel our tanks are running dry or near empty.

We have a forever Savior in Jesus Christ, and more than that, He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit Who indwells us, and who surrounds us. We are never alone, never abandoned. The Lord is just waiting for us to turn our focus, and our thoughts towards Him, so that He can pour into us His loving, strengthening power, and encouragement.

Waiting on Him may be a time of prayer, or it may mean opening the Word, and reading from His living epistles so that every Word you read can minister His life into your spirit.

Because of His love, and grace, we never fail, we never come short. We have already won every battle through Jesus Christ who is our defender, and who paid the price on Calvary 2000 years ago.

Today, let us walk out our day in victory, knowing as The Passion Translation says it so well, He is our champion defender, you will not fail today, you will conquer today, because Jesus already conquered for you on the Cross. Just turn your eyes toward Him, stay in His presence, keep the joy flowing and let Jesus shine through you.

In His amazing love, Esther
