EXPECTING SOMETHING?

Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Acts 3:1-6

Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

When the lame man positioned himself, EXPECTING to receive, he received far more than he thought he would get…

Another definition of ‘FAITH’ is having a confident expectation to receive. Dead religion does not expect to receive anything from the Lord… faith continually believes to receive. When you come to God, ALWAYS expect something! Always expect to receive a blessing, a miracle, or a promise!

When we look to Him in faith, expecting to receive, He NEVER disappoints, FAITH pleases God, and FAITH moves God!

Jesus will always outdo your greatest expectation… He always gives us far more than we are believing for. The Bible says, ‘Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.’ - Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)

Always be positioned to receive by grace through faith, and our mighty, loving God will outdo your greatest expectation… that’s the kind of God that we serve!

Today in church, I will be ministering on ‘the power of expectation’… I believe that there is going to be a GREAT impartation of faith… If you are planning to attend today’s service, come expecting!

In His amazing love, Nick
