SUPERNATURAL FINANCES... PART 2

Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 2 Corinthians 8:9 (TPT)

For you have experienced THE EXTRAVAGANT GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although He was infinitely rich, He impoverished Himself for our sake, so that by His poverty, we become rich beyond measure.

The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition says, “For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly THE GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).”

In this powerful scripture Paul attributes financial prosperity to ‘extravagant grace.’

The Amplified Bible imparts this scripture in a very practical way… it places ‘becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing GRACE more strongly and clearly’ as the foundation to financial prosperity. Jesus destroyed poverty and provided prosperity on the cross of Calvary… GRACE qualifies us to receive deliverance from all lack as well as access to financial prosperity!

Jesus paid the price on Calvary, ‘ONCE for ALL’… He did it ALL on the cross!

Besides enduring the penalty for the sins of all mankind, He qualified every person who would receive Him as Savior to share His inheritance as a co-heir in Him! He engrafted us [born-again believers] into Himself as a branch is engrafted into a vine so that we could bear His abundant fruit! This fruit includes healing, health, the ability to supernaturally perform miracles in His Name, supernatural protection from every harmful thing, the gifts of the Spirit, and it also includes FINANCIAL PROSPERITY, or as The Passion Translation says, “Becoming RICH beyond measure”.

Jesus paid the price on the cross for you to be ‘rich beyond measure.’ With all of the naysayers about the ‘prosperity gospel’ out there, many are not open to receiving what Jesus gave His life to give them. Most believers that speak out against prosperity automatically interpret what I am teaching as greed, self-centeredness, materialism, serving the god of mammon, or the love of money. I assure you that I am not teaching any of that!

Greed, self-centeredness, materialism, serving the god of mammon, and the love of money are all works of the flesh and are pursued by carnal minded people. What I am teaching is none of that, I am teaching New Covenant prosperity according to the Word of God… prosperity that has been set aside for Spirit-filled, Spirit led believers, who walk in revelation, who walk in the Spirit, and have renewed minds!

The Gospel is FREE, but bringing the gospel to the world, providing care, housing, medicine and food for the poor, acquiring the land, the buildings, the vehicles and hiring the staff to do what we are called to do, takes a LOT of money! Prosperous, generous, anointed believers who walk in supernatural financial abundance are not greedy, self-centered, materialistic, serving the god of mammon, carnal people who have succumbed to the love of money.

It is not a sin to be personally, abundantly supplied and to have riches and nice things… it is a sin to hold onto all that the Lord has given you through His covenant of Grace, and not to generously share it, or release it when prompted by the Spirit. Having many personal homes, many personal vehicles, and more things you could ever use, as well as an abundance of riches, while being stingy and selfish is sin. Selfish, carnal, materialism is not New Covenant prosperity!

‘GRACE ACCESSED’, anointed, New Covenant prosperity is extravagantly generous, with an ‘abundant, beyond measure’ outflow! The same GRACE that receives has a heart to bring GRACE to others! By GRACE the Lord will get everything He has TO YOU, as long as He can keep getting it THROUGH YOU! If a person is stingy and self-centered with little, ‘kingdom abundance’ will never be released to that person.

Proverbs 11:25 says, The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.”

The Passion Translation says, “Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor.

2 Corinthians 9:6-9 (AMPC) says, “[Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows GENEROUSLY [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]. And God is able to make ALL GRACE (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

Jesus gave His life for you to be abundantly supplied through His GRACE… receive what He has given by faith, in Jesus Name!

In His amazing love, Nick
