Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Habakkuk 2:4
Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by faith.
Pride is self-focus, and self-dependence. Faith is God dependent. Faith requires believing God with your mind, your will and your emotions.
Broken, hurting people tend to be filled with pride, while ‘whole people’ are humble people of faith and dependent on God.
If you have difficulty trusting the Lord, and stepping out in faith, you need your soul to be healed and made whole. You need your heart to be made whole by the Lord, and by His Word. As you receive healing and wholeness, self-focus and self-dependence will go and faith will rise up! A soul that is not whole is often someone who is trying to figure their lives out all by themselves because they feel they have to fix their own lives. They feel they got themselves into a mess and now they have to get themselves out of the mess.
The more that we live by grace through faith, the more the Lord moves in and through us. Let the Lord do a work of healing on the inside of you today and discover what it truly means to live by faith! Step out and put your faith in the Lord.
“Father, I release the power of the Word, the anointing and the healing balm of the Holy Spirit in me right now! I receive healing, wholeness and restoration now, in Jesus Name! All pride, all self-dependence, and all self-focus goes from me now in Jesus' name. I put my trust in You! I am healed, I am whole, I am just, I am righteous in Christ, and I live by faith, in Jesus Name!”
In His amazing love,
Esther
