Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Hebrews 10:35
Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

2 Corinthians 3:4-5 (TPT) says, “We carry this confidence in our hearts because of our union with Christ before God. Yet we don’t see ourselves as capable enough to do anything in our own strength, for our true competence flows from God’s empowering presence.”

We are not talking about self-confidence that is rooted in self-reliance, we are talking about walking in confidence due to our faith in God!

Confidence based on faith in God is a mixture of great faith, courage, boldness, reliance, assurance, and being fully persuaded. Confidence in Jesus and in His Word has GREAT reward! The enemy works 24/7 in an attempt to get believers to cast away their confidence. If He can just create a question mark in a believer’s mind, he has won. The enemy inundates the minds of believers with thoughts like, “has God really said? Is this REALLY God’s will? Are you sure that what you are believing applies to your specific situation? You did not do everything EXACTLY right, so how sure are you that you are going to be ok? You sinned, so who are you to claim that scripture?” If he can get you to be less confident, or to cast away your confidence, your boldness, or your great courageous faith, he can steal your reward!

A huge aspect in maintaining great confidence is ‘right believing’. Having a revelation on the New Covenant in the light of grace, righteousness, who you are in Christ, that you have ALREADY been freely given all things in Christ, your authority as a believer and such is so very important. This is why we teach daily on the New Covenant… renewing your mind to the point that you have a revelation on our amazing New Covenant in Christ will birth great confidence, faith, peace and joy in believing!

1 John 5:14-15 (TPT) says, “Since we have THIS CONFIDENCE, we can also have GREAT BOLDNESS before Him, for if we ask anything agreeable to His will, He will hear us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we also KNOW that we HAVE OBTAINED the requests we ask of Him.”

The Amplified Bible says, “We [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.”

Confidence KNOWS that once you have asked according to the Word, that you have already obtained and received, regardless of circumstances, feelings, or how long it takes to manifest. Confidence does not wait for the manifestation to celebrate, it celebrates immediately after you have asked and received by grace, through faith, according to the Word!

Let me give you an example… A believer with a revelation on the New Covenant receives a report from the doctor that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer… the believer immediately rises up in faith, and recognizes that a lying spirit of cancer has illegally invaded his body. He comes before the Father with great boldness, faith and confidence, and prays according to his covenant… “Father, I have a covenant in Christ, my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, according to my covenant, I HAVE BEEN healed by the stripes of Jesus, I now receive that healing, in Jesus Name! I now declare by faith that I am completely whole and totally cancer free, in Jesus Name! You foul, lying spirit of cancer, GO from my body NOW, in Jesus Name! Heavenly Father, I believe that I receive right now, as I am praying! I have my healing and total deliverance from cancer NOW, in Jesus Name! I give you praise, I give you all of the glory! I am the healed of the Lord! I celebrate your goodness now! I dance before you NOW, I rejoice NOW, thank You Father, I am healed, whole, healthy and fit to do your work, amen!”

After praying, he throws a celebration, victory party!

Ephesians 3:12 (TPT) says, “We have boldness through Him, and free access as kings before the Father because of our complete confidence in Christ’s faithfulness.”

The Aramaic text can be translated “We have kingship and the boldness and confidence of kings.” Jesus has made you a KING and a priest in Him… whenever you have a need, go before the Father CONFIDENTLY and boldly and receive what you have been given in Christ.

One of the things that the enemy uses against believers to steal their confidence is condemnation and guilt. 1 John 3:21 (AMPC) says, “Beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God.” Friends, Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION in Christ!” Guilt and condemnation NEVER come from the Lord and ALWAYS come either from your flesh and your unrenewed mind, or from an evil spirit of guilt and condemnation!

No matter how badly you have blown it, or how huge a sin you may have committed, people may condemn you, you may condemn yourself, spirits of darkness will absolutely condemn you, but the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will NEVER condemn you, or place guilt upon you.

Jesus will CONVICT you and correct you through His Word, He will pour GRACE and mercy upon you to strengthen you to overcome, and He will RESTORE you in love, but He will NEVER condemn you!

Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward, in Jesus Name!

In His amazing love, Nick
