Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Romans 8:6-7 (TPT)
The sense and reason of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace. In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction, because it cannot!
Your mindset is the foundation of your belief system. A worldly mindset, or a worldview is a belief system that is based and founded upon a cultural worldview, it is educated and conformed to a cultural belief system that is influenced and maintained by the common beliefs held by society in general. As believers we are not to be conformed to the mindset of this world, but to the mindset of the New Covenant WORD… ‘the Spirit-controlled mindset of Christ’.
The mindset of this world is continually shifting… the things that are culturally acceptable, true, or right are trending further and further away from the Word and real truth. The ‘Word, Spirit-controlled mindset’ is stable, unchangeable, timeless ‘real truth’ and does not shift when it is no longer politically or culturally correct.

Everything from how to manage finances, to family values, to work ethics and more will lead to destruction and death if a worldly mindset is followed. Many believers run their lives and make decisions according to a worldly mindset and their mindset of death results in divorce, rebellious children, bankruptcy, sickness and failure on every front. A ‘Word, Spirit-controlled mindset’ leads to life, peace, success and blessing in every area… your relationships, your health, your finances and more!
Romans 12:2 (TPT) says, “Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.”
Start by making a decision to put on the mind of Christ in everything… accept the New Covenant Word of God as absolute truth, and then make every decision, led by the Spirit, according to the Word. As you do you will begin to prosper and be in health in all areas, even as your soul prospers. A Word, Spirit-controlled mindset is a winning, prosperous mindset that will find, and continually dwell in life and peace!
