Today’s New Covenant nugget is from 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (NLT)

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed

You have God’s light and life shining within you. Have you ever wondered why it’s so easy to blend and get along with most other Christians? It’s because they have Jesus shining through them and you are attracted to Jesus in them. Our Lord Jesus is alive within us and His power is being demonstrated through our lives.

Have you noticed that no matter what comes your way… you are not crushed and defeated? You are not downcast? You do not give up…you are always ready to get up and run harder.

I love hearing stories of successful NFL players who are born again believers and medal winning athletes who know Jesus because God gets all the glory as they testify when they succeed because they have totally put their trust and faith in His power within.

Some people don’t like to be called ‘fragile’ but this scripture says that ‘we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.’ He is the strengthening power that lives within.

As you step out in what today holds for you, remember you have His mighty power operating within you, no matter what comes your way today, you cannot be defeated, you will not be driven to despair, but you have the ability through Christ Jesus to rise up, stand strong, be encouraged and declare that you have been made victorious in and through Christ Jesus who paid the price for your victory on the cross 2000 years ago. He paid the price for your victory today and His mighty power is within you, equipping you to live and move and have your being in and through Him today – Selah

In His amazing love, Esther
