Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT)
May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
I remember my grandfather telling me about the testimony of one of the world’s greatest theologians, ‘Karl Barth’, when asked in 1962, on his one visit to America, how he would summarize the essence of the millions of words he had published, he replied, "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
At that time my grandfather had read the bible, ‘cover to cover’, sixty times, and was reading it again for the sixty first time… he said that, out of all of the great revelations that he had received, that he had come to the same conclusion as Karl Barth. When you know and experience the Fathers love, the love of Jesus and the love of the Holy Spirit towards you, it will forever change your life… the revelation together with the received experience of the love of God will make you complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God – selah!
