Today’s New Covenant nugget is from Hebrews 4:12
The Word of God is LIVING and POWERFUL, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” The Passion Translation says, “God has transmitted His very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by it’s instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.”
Most believers do not really believe and are not fully convinced that the Word is powerful… if they did, they would be in the Word all of the time. My prayer is that you would receive a revelation of the POWER of the Word.
THE REASON THAT WE TAKE HOURS EVERY WEEK TO WRITE DAILY TEACHINGS IS BECAUSE OF OUR REVELATION OF THE POWER OF THE WORD!
The Lord spoke to me and said, “I need My people to be equipped to receive, and then to know how to KEEP what they have received. Many get healed, get delivered from pain, receive a financial miracle, only to lose it again… the sickness returns, the pain returns, the depression returns, and the financial problems return… teach My people how to keep what I give them.”
The Word of God PRESERVES the blessing of God and sustains it in the believer’s life. If their Word level is low, what they have been given will not be a lasting thing… God’s blessings will be gained, only to be lost again.
People think and say, “why did the Lord take away my pain and allow it to come back again”, or “why did the Lord heal me only to allow me to become sick again?” Friends, the Lord is NOT allowing anything like that… He has provided a way in the New Covenant for you and I to KEEP what we receive.
The Word manifests God’s promises and then sustains what has been manifested, or given. Someone else can speak the Word under the anointing and healing, provision, or miracles may manifest… they have the Word planted on the inside of them, together with the anointing and the faith to bring the promise into manifestation, but if you as a receiver do not have the Word ‘IN YOU’, then what was given will be lost over time… believers with a high level of the Word in them keep what was given by the power of the Word.
THE WORD IS THE SEED FOR EVERYTHING GIVEN IN THE NEW COVENANT…
The Lord will not bring anything to pass, other than through His Word! The anointing works by the Word, faith comes from the Word and God provides His promises in seed form through the Word! Without the Word in you, God pouring His anointing on you is like a farmer watering dry ground… there will be a temporary manifestation, but it will not last!
Jesus said, in Mark 4:14-20, “The sower sows the WORD, and these are the ones by the wayside WHERE THE WORD IS SOWN. When they hear, satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in THEIR HEARTS. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the Word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the Word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the Word, RECEIVE it, and BEAR FRUIT: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
Notice, only the ones who RECEIVE the Word into their hearts bear fruit… what kind of fruit? Healing fruit, divine health fruit, provision fruit, prosperity fruit, joy fruit, peace fruit and fruit of every promised blessing. The received, planted Word brings a sustained harvest!
Receiving something from the Lord without the Word planted in you is like someone giving you an apple… it lasts for a little while, but is not sustained. The planted Word yields a continual, overflowing harvest.
GOD CAN HEAL YOU SUPERNATURALLY, BUT YOU WILL NOT STAY HEALED WITHOUT THE WORD IN YOU!
GOD CAN GIVE YOU TEN MILLION DOLLARS, BUT YOU WON’T KEEP IT WITHOUT THE WORD!
WITHOUT THE WORD IN YOU, YOU CANNOT WALK IN, AND MAINTAIN THE PROMISES OF GOD!
The bible says in James 1:21 to receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save (sozo) your souls. The Greek word translated as implanted is ‘émphytos’, literally meaning ‘to plant so that internal germination can occur’.
A paraphrase of James 1:21 would read like this… “Catch the Word and plant it in your inner man where it will germinate, grow and bear fruit of healing, divine health, provision, prosperity, protection, preservation, deliverance and of everything that you need for life and godliness.”
The Word in you is the New Covenant key to enjoying a sustained harvest of blessings in your life instead of only experiencing short term blessings. The Lord wants you to live and enjoy a sustained, overflowing harvest of health, prosperity, favor, peace, joy and success in all areas of your life… The planted Word is God’s way of bringing that to pass in your life!
The children of Israel were GIVEN a promised land, but under Moses they were not able to receive it, let alone keep it. They went around the mountain for forty-years receiving miracle provision of manna and quail… The manna and the quail would only last for a day, and then, the next day, they would need a miracle again… They did not have the Word in them to the degree where they were able to receive their promise and enjoy a sustained, overflowing harvest.
After Moses died, God gave Joshua the missing key to receiving their promise and keeping it. In
Joshua 1:8 the Lord said to Joshua, “This Book of the Law (the Word of God) shall not depart from YOUR MOUTH, but you shall MEDITATE in it day and night, that you may OBSERVE TO DO according to all that is written in it. For then YOU WILL MAKE your way prosperous, and then you will have good SUCCESS.”
When the children of Israel planted the Word in themselves through scriptural meditation, confession and actions, they crossed over Jordan, received their promise and then enjoyed a sustained, overflowing harvest of prosperity and success in every form. The only difference between the children of Israel that went around the mountain for forty years and the one’s who receive their promise and kept it was… the former group under Moses had a very low Word level, and the latter group under Joshua had a high level of the planted Word on the inside of them.
Both groups received the same Word, the same promise and served the same God… The one group PLANTED the Word in their hearts and enjoyed lasting success and prosperity, while the other group died in the wilderness. It is the WORD in you that makes the difference!
Like the children of Israel, as you begin to plant the Word in your hearts, you will start receiving, and then keeping your healing, keeping provision and enjoying prosperity, keeping joy and peace, and enjoying a sustained harvest of everything that you need for life and godliness… selah

“Holy Spirit, give me a revelation about the power of the Word!
Jesus, Your Word is powerful, Your Word is life giving and Your Word is seed.
You have given me everything that I need in seed form through Your Word.
I will plant your Word in my heart as I speak the Word that I meditate upon
Your planted Word will grow a harvest of healing, divine health, provision, prosperity and blessing.
I will make time every day to catch Your Word and plant it.
As the Word level in me increases, so will the blessings increase.
The way that I make myself prosperous and have good success is by meditating on your Word, speaking it and doing it!
