Today’s New Covenant nugget is from John 16:23
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it you.
This is such a beautiful passage of scripture. What a promise to stand on that Jesus said, if we ask the Father ANYTHING in Jesus’ Name, that the Father would give it to us. Whatever you are in need of today, go before the Father, pray to the Father in Jesus Name and ask Him to meet your need. Stand on this scripture as you pray and believe God in faith, see with the eyes of Faith, your need being met.
A dear pastor friend was sharing with us how his wife was fighting a covid fever of 103 degrees for 10 days. For ten days he commanded the sickness and the fever to go, in Jesus Name, but it would not leave. As He was preparing to pray for her again, he read John 16:23. He shared how he had always used the prayer of faith, commanding sickness to go, in Jesus Name with great success, but had never used John 16:3, ‘a prayer of petition’ for healing.
He prayed and asked the Father, “Father, I know that we have already been healed when Jesus gave His life on the cross, so I know that healing is ours, and we do not have to ask for what has already been given, but Jesus said, ‘ye shall ask the Father ANYTHING’, and anything includes sickness”. So, he decided to pray for his wife according to John 16:23.
On the 10th day, as he was praying in his home office, this pastor, went before the Lord, using this scripture in John 16:23 and said: “Father, Jesus said that, if I You ask anything in His Name, that You will give it to me, Father, based upon John 16:3, I now ask you for my wife’s healing, in Jesus Name!”
After praying, he immediately went to check on his wife, he took his wife’s temperature and it was one hundred percent normal, and it remained that way from there on. All symptoms were totally gone and she was completely healed… thank You Jesus!
Friends, Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to meet all your needs. Whatever you are believing for, today, stand on this verse. Bring this verse before the Father in your prayers and petitions and see Him move mightily on your behalf. He is true to His Word. Our Father never fails.
Many times it’s easier to ask others to pray on your behalf, but the Father is wanting you to come before Him in prayer and ask Him for yourself. Whatever you ask Him according to the Word, in Jesus Name, He will give you! Set time aside today to pray. Come boldly to the throne of Grace and receive His grace, blessing and mercy on your life by Faith in Jesus’ Name, and then ASK the Father in Jesus Name for ANYTHING promised to you in the Word, and He WILL give it to you.
